For those with a green thumb, who enjoy planting and growing year round-you don’t want to miss the opportunity to purchase one of these carefully crafted, designed and built by a team of expert architects, professional engineers and… students. Yes, we said that correctly, eager students were involved from start to finish. 

Middle school girls from Perry Meridian and Southport Middle School went to Schmidt and Associates-which is a full-service architecture and engineering firm in Indianapolis. There they worked with architects and engineers to create designs, blueprints and models for three greenhouses. Afterwards, they worked with construction experts to bring their ideas to life and built three life-sized greenhouses. 

Now, those greenhouses are being auctioned off to the highest bidder. Proceeds from the sale of the greenhouses goes to benefit non profit organization, Perry Township Education Foundation or PTEF. PTEF supports teachers and students throughout Perry Township Schools by providing resources and opportunities that enhance learning. It’s a chance to purchase a beautiful, functional greenhouse while also supporting the next generation of innovators, builders and leaders.
